About Lyman James

Growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana, where little boys dream of sinking the winning shot in big basketball games, Lyman was, instead, fascinated by the sounds coming from his transistor radio. His early influences included Buddy Scott on WIFE, WNAP's Buster Bodine, and the legends of Chicago radio on stations like The Big 89 WLS and WCFL. In the years since, Lyman has been heard on quality stations like WLYT in Charlotte; KZZD Kansas City; KGBY Sacramento; KKRD, KFDI and KRBB Wichita; and WMYI in Greenville, SC. He was also the creative force behind the launch of Wichita's first Christian AC station KTLI in 1991.
His warm, rich and natural delivery has prompted former Clear Channels Senior VP of AC Programming Jim Ryan to describe him as "auditory gold." That "voice" is ready to go to work for you.
